About Us
Hi there, we’re so glad you found us.

We’re Breanne and Jacob Rowley (Brea & Jake to most), a busy, big-hearted family growing flowers, food, and a whole lot of joy on Jacob’s family farm. Life around here is full — long workdays, three amazing kids, muddy boots, and the constant hum of trying to keep all the plates spinning.
A few years ago, we planted our very first backyard garden with nothing more than curiosity and a hope to grow a few vegetables and some pretty flowers for our home. Even though Jacob had lived on the farm his entire life, actually digging into the soil was brand new for both of us. At the time, Jacob was working 70-hour weeks in Grand Rapids, and I was juggling work, full-time school, and motherhood. Starting a garden felt a little wild… and most people told us we were adding way too much to our already full plates.

But we’ve always been creators. Sitting still has never been our strong suit.
Somewhere between the first sprouts and the first harvest, we fell completely in love. After long, exhausting days, we’d escape to our little hidden garden behind the barn — a quiet, blooming pocket of peace where the world slowed down just enough to breathe. Growing our own food and flowers changed us. There’s something grounding about watching life push up through the soil and knowing it was grown with intention, patience, and care.

In a world filled with shortcuts and chemicals, we found beauty in keeping things simple and homegrown. And before we knew it, we were sharing our harvest with everyone — friends, family, neighbors, and kind strangers who quickly felt like friends. Giving someone something grown from scratch and watching it bring joy? That part never gets old.
That love for sharing is what led us here. We’re not here to make a profit (truthfully, we’ll never break even). We just want to cover a bit of the cost — seeds, tubers, soil amendments, jars, and time add up — so we can keep growing and sharing with our community year after year. Everything is priced as low as we can make it, and if you ever have something you’d like to share at the stand, just send us a message. This space is about connection, kindness, and community.

Thanks for being here, for supporting small family farms, and for believing in the magic of growing things at home.
With love,
The Rowley's 🌿
